These pics are from the Jim Davidson's Falkland Islands Special which featured the girls from The Benny Hill Show entertaining the troops and some behind the scenes photos as they were transported to the Falklands. Jim Davidson's Falklands Special (1984)

I had no idea about this show which had featured members of Hill's Angels travelling 8,000 miles by plane to the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic to entertain troops stationed in that area. The girls from the series included Samantha Spencer-Lane, Sara Throssell and Vanessa Biddulph. This is also available on DVD so you may even be interested in purchasing this program yourself.

One of our popular Angel's is Samantha Spencer-Lane and a lot of fans have wondered what she went on to when she left the show in 1982. Well she worked as a dancer with Jim Davison on his Falklands Islands shows. She was not on her own though as two yet to be Angel's were also on the show, Sara Throssell and Vanessa Biddulph who would join The Benny Hill Show in 1986 and 1989. The program was shown on ITV on Christmas Eve 1984. A unique film that follows Jim Davidson, one of the UKs' foremost entertainers, to a dot in the South Atlantic which, two and a half years prior, was the scene of conflict. MISSION: To transport Jim Davidson, 5 musicians, 4 dancers, singers, film crew and 5 tons of equipment 8,000 miles to the Falklands. - Dave Hawkins
